The University of Texas at Tyler Volleyball team never let up to advance in Thursday afternoon’s quarterfinals of the 2021 South Central Regional Tournament. Newcomers to Division II, UT Tyler made its first-ever NCAA national tournament appearance in Denver.
The no. 6 seeded Patriots upset no. 3 seed Colorado Mesa by 3-1.
The women will face the winner of the Colorado School of Mines and West Texas A&M game in the first of two semifinal matches scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m. MST.
