Mission (what we do today)
UT Tyler Radio 99.7 FM is a service of The College of Arts and Sciences at UT Tyler. We educate, enrich, enlighten, inspire, inform and entertain.
Vision (what we plan for tomorrow)
UT Tyler Radio offers a gathering place of ideas, a forum for learning and a haven of community in a variety of venues: radio, video, digital, social and in person.
We illuminate the region’s conversation with distinctive storytelling, interviews and analysis.
Values (how we carry out our mission and vision)
- We uphold the promise and pledge of noncommercial educational radio.
- We honor our FCC definition as a noncommercial, educational station by providing places for students and others to learn about mass communication and more. In addition, we provide education to our listeners through UT Tyler’s vast resources of experts.
- We believe and uphold the First Amendment rights of the freedom of speech, of the press and to assemble.
- We consider all ideas with respect.
- We declare that broadcasting is fun, and we exalt those who have a sense of humor.
- We care about each other and our community. We celebrate milestones.
